How does international flower delivery work?

When you order with MyGlobalFlowers, your bouquet is prepared by a professional local florist in the recipient’s city. Instead of sending flowers long-distance, we work with florists worldwide who create the arrangement locally using fresh flowers and then hand it to a local courier for delivery.

If you order before the local cut-off time, your flowers can usually be delivered on the same day. This makes it easy to send flowers from the UK to loved ones abroad without having to arrange delivery with a local florist yourself.

Can I send flowers from the UK to another country?

Yes. MyGlobalFlowers makes it easy to send flowers worldwide from the UK. You can choose a bouquet online and arrange delivery directly to the recipient in another country.

Your order is fulfilled locally in the destination city, so the flowers do not have to travel from the UK. This helps ensure that your bouquet is fresh when it reaches the recipient.

Can you deliver flowers on the same day anywhere in the UK?

Yes. We offer same-day flower delivery to cities across the UK, including deliveries between different cities.

The same delivery principles apply as for international orders: if you place your order before the local cut-off time, delivery is usually possible on the same day. Most same-day orders are delivered in the afternoon, after the florist has prepared the bouquet and passed it to the courier.

The exact delivery time depends on the delivery address, the florist’s and courier’s workload, and local delivery conditions. 

How quickly can my flowers be delivered?

If your order is placed before the local cut-off time, delivery is usually available on the same day. Most orders are delivered in the afternoon, after the local florist has prepared the bouquets and passed them to the courier.

The exact delivery time depends on the recipient’s address, the florist’s and courier’s workload, and local delivery conditions. 

What information do I need to provide when ordering international flower delivery?

Please provide the recipient’s full and accurate details:

• first and last name;
• telephone number;
• full delivery address, including postcode, city and street name, house number and flat number, if applicable;
• country;
• preferred delivery date.

Providing the recipient’s surname is particularly important in many European countries, where it can help the courier identify the correct recipient and may sometimes be used instead of a flat number.

In some countries, the florist also needs to contact the recipient to confirm delivery details, so please make sure the telephone number is correct and that the recipient can answer the call.

Will my bouquet look exactly like the photo?

We aim to make your bouquet as close as possible to the arrangement shown on the website. However, flowers are a natural and seasonal product, so a 100% identical result cannot always be guaranteed.

If a particular flower is unavailable, the florist may replace it with an equivalent or more premium flower while keeping the overall colour scheme, shape, style and value of the arrangement. Seasonal flowers may also be replaced with flowers of a similar value.

Are there any local delivery rules I should know about?

Yes. Delivery conditions can vary between countries and cities. For example, in Italy, Spain and Greece, deliveries are generally not possible during the local siesta period from around 1pm to 4pm.

In some countries, including Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and countries of the CIS, the florist normally needs to confirm delivery details with the recipient before completing the delivery.

It is also important to select the correct city when ordering. In some countries, a metropolitan area may share the same name as its main city. If you select a city such as Madrid but provide an address in another city within the Madrid metropolitan area, this may result in additional delivery time or cost.

How will I know that my flowers have been delivered?

You can track your order status on the MyGlobalFlowers website or in our mobile app. Once the delivery has been confirmed, the status is updated to “Delivered”.

In some cases, the “Delivered” status may appear the following day, when the courier returns and submits their delivery report.

For many orders, you can also receive a photo of the bouquet before delivery, allowing you to see the finished arrangement before it is handed to the courier.
